Fine Weather in the Forecast this Week

Well, after a brief but severe dip into low temperatures around Easter and the big winds of the past week, the current forecast is beautiful! Temperature should touch 70 degrees during the days ahead, beginning on Saturday.Lovely “touristing” weather for enjoying early Spring flowers, not to mention just walking around in Asheville, taking a hike or a bike ride. We cherish this moderate weather every day we have it.

Jazz on Friday Night

Friday night will be special in Asheville this week. The Grove Arcade, a spectacular 1928 Art Deco buliding in Downtown, is hosting jazz on Friday evening. It’s free. Come one, come all. And after the sweet sounds, Downtown has restaurants of all kinds, one-of-a-kind and owner-operated places to sample the culinary and cultural tapestry that is Asheville!
Check out the unique delights of Downtown Ashevile.

Who says Friday the 13th is a bad day?

Well, we don’t. The sun is shining, the air is cool. And just a moment ago I got an email showing a photo of my first grandson, Christian Michael who was born last night in Maryland. As they say,”How great is that!” And if you still had doubts about the 13th of April, one of my favorite gardeners (and President of the United States of America) Thomas Jefferson was born on this day.

It’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood!

After freezing us for Easter weekend, we’re happy for the sunny day today and most flowers recovered from the cold. A splendid day for being in Asheville.
